Yesterday was the 4th outing at Willow Creek in this beautiful, sunny
weather. This is a new and exciting way to get to know students in a
very different way.
Sunday we enjoyed taking 2 Chinese students and 1 visiting professor
from China shopping. No coats were purchased at Burlington Coat Factory
or Jordan Creek Mall. It was great to meet Jess and 2 host students also
shopping. We were treated to Chinese food at Hy Vee near Jordan Creek
Parkway and Office Park Road.
Many students and host families had a great time on Sunny Saturday
at Saylorville Sandpiper Shelter. The Host Family Leaders, Amy and Dan,
are doing a great job!
30 + students (including 10 new ones) had a big cookout Sunday afternoon at Witmer Park.
It was all fun until the threat of lightning sent all scurrying back to campus.
There will be no SNS on the 12th. All hosts are hosting visiting missionaries.
SNS returns 9/19/2010.
For the Labor day Weekend:
The Activity Fair was excellent thanks to many team players. Responses and contact information for 35 new students is great.
SNS will be a picnic at 4 P.M. on Sunday at Witmer Park (on the west side of 34th St. north of Forest Ave.)
Jesus said:
I assure you those who hear my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life;
they will never be condemned for their sins, in fact they have already moved from death into life.
John 5:24 NLT
Two big and wonderful promises: 1) Those who hear my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life.
and 2) They will never be condemed for their sins.
Questions remaining: 1) What is Jesus’ message? and 2) What or how do we believe in the God who sent Jesus?
Answers to be posted!
